Taking Advantage of Student Discounts

If you’re a student then you probably know that companies offer student discounts for you. However, to help get you started in your search for the best deals in electronics, cell phone planes and apparel, here is a modest listing of various discounts offered by some of the most popular companies. As always, compare each discount so as to save the most money.

Computer:

Apple
Apple offers students and teachers Educating Pricing, which can save them up to $200 when they purchase a new Mac computer. The student discount can be used by a college student, a parent shopping for a college student, faculty, home school teachers, and staff regardless of grade level. In addition, Apple software and certain accessories can also be purchased at a discounted price. New accepted into college students can also participate in Apple’s Education Pricing.

Adobe
With Adobe, students can receive Adobe software at a discounted price. To be eligible, the student has to be at least 13 years of age and be currently enrolled at an accredited public or private college or university or currently being homeschooled and can meet homeschooling regulations. Students can receive discounts up to 65% on select Adobe software in the Creative Cloud such as Premier Pro, Photoshop, illustrator, Muse, InDesign, Dreamweaver, After Effects, Fireworks, Encore, InCopy, Prelude, SpeedGrade, Flash Builder Premier, Bridge, Adobe Audition, Acrobat XI Pro, Lightroom, and more so students get the best desktop applications they need for photography, design, video, and audio to make an endless amount of possibilities.

Dell
For students, Dell offers them a Best Price guarantee; being able to save up to 30% on PCs with discounts exclusive only to students. Dell also offers a loyalty program for students that lets them earn eGift cards which are worth 5% made on Dell purchases. In addition, they also receive free second business day shipping and other offers only exclusive to students. Student discounts also apply to electronics and accessories where students can save an additional 5% on Dell accessories and 3% on non-Dell accessories.

Cell Phones:

T-Mobile
Students can receive a discount on their bill and even pay the student’s family early termination fees, if applicable, which could be up to $350 per each line. Students also receive a StudentRate which can include; receiving a discount on a new line of service that includes talk and text, a discounted monthly bill, discounted devices or even given the option to bring in their own device, and free activation when starting a new line of service.

Verizon Wireless
Verizon Wireless customers who are also students can receive a discount of 15% off their monthly bill, which can save them around $15 every month. In order to get the discount, the student will have to enter their school email on Verizon’s employee discount page and then apply.

Clothing and Apparel:

Banana Republic
Students and teachers can receive a discount which is exclusive just to them; being able to save 15% on full-priced purchases any day they shop. The student discount applies for in-store purchases only and the teacher or student must show a valid I.D in order to get the discount.

Club Monaco
College students who shop at Club Monaco can save 20% off full-priced items as well as on sale merchandise, in stores and online. If shopping online, students must first enter their email on the Club Monaco site and wait for an email that will give them a code they can apply to their order during checkout; if shopping in a Club Monaco store, the student just needs to present a valid student I.D when they’re ready to make their purchase. Student discounts at Club Monaco can not be combined with any other offers.
